TGIF {11}

TGIF is a fun post created by Ginger at GReads.  It’s to recap what you’ve posted about through the week and then Ginger asks a fun question.

Friday, Oct. 7th - To-Be-Read's: How big is your pile? Which book keeps getting pushed down the stack, but you keep meaning to read it?

Wow...this question makes me want pull my hair out and scream. Also makes me want to laugh. And maybe cry.

My to be read list is insanely long (you can check my goodreads shelves and see for yourself it's at 128 ish now, but I know there are a lot missing). If I can keep up with the goal I've set this year (50 books a year) it'll take me two and a half years to finish! Although that's just my list...not the actual books I own.

Of these 128 I own75 ish (physical books and a few on my kindle). The one that keeps going up and down is "Blood Red Road" (kindle). I've started it a few times and want to read it, but haven't gotten into it yet. Thought I do hear it's really good. Also at the top of my list is The Uglies (all four), Forbidden, With or Without you (not pictured because it's with a friend), A lot of the books on my TBR list are older books. I try to read books as they are released and then fill the gaps with the books I already own, but I don't catch them all.

Not pictured (on my kindle):
Story of a Girl - Sara Zarr
The Boyfriend Thief - Shana Norris
I Am Number Four: The Lost Files
Dream Smashers - Angela Carlie
My Blood Approves Series (4 books) - A Hocking
13 Little Blue Envelopes - Maureen Johnson
The Ocean - Mia Castile

I've read Wither, not sure why it's there. That's also the Stephanie Plum Series by Janet Evanovich peaking out behind the first row (these are justsome of the books I have, all are not pictured), I'm only missing 2 or 3 from the series. I want them all before I start.

So what's in your TBR pile?

I Am Number Four is in my TBR pile too and right now I don't know if I'm going to read it. I was so disappointed with the movie I got discouraged from reading the book, which I know it's not a good thing to do. That's what I get for watching the movie before reading the book.

Thanks for stopping by

Said friend who has With or Without You will be finishing it up this weekend and getting it to you on Monday...so it can take it's rightful place at the top of your TBR (it's so good)!

Cryer's Cross, Uglies, and WIther are some of the ones on my Nook TBR. Prom is on the shelf. Graceling is AMAZING! One of my all-time-favorites. Forbidden's good too. You have lots of good reading ahead!!

LOL! I know what you mean about wanting to cry when you look at your TBR pile. It is seriously overwhelming!

The Uglies series is a set of books that I keep meaning to read someday, too. Excited for you to get to Stephanie Plum. Those books are freaking fantastic!

I am going to keep my mouth shut because I am sure there may or may not be a few books on that pile that I have pushed on to you.
Also this is kind of related/kind of not BUT on the way to the Smart Chicks Kick It Tour, my friend and I were talking about Lisa McMann's series. She then goes on to say just how much she loves books that deal with dreams. So can you guess what awesome person I brought up next????
I said, well my friend Mandie is still in the earlier stages of writing her book but if you love Lisa's books you will ADORE hers. Here I am pushing your book way ahead of its time but I just couldn't help myself ;)

p.s. That was kind of a round-about way of telling you, you might want to read that series soon!

I've read Story of a Girl twelve times now. It sure is my all-time favorite book of the year. Great picks! Thank you for sharing! I'm glad I've stopped by today.
