Ready? Set. Write! Week 4

Ready? Set. Write! is a way for writers to keep in touch with each other and keep themselves accountable to the goals they set. This year it's hosted by Katy Upperman, Alison Miller, Jamie Morrow,Erin Funk and Elodie Nowodazkij. Check out their blogs for more details and be sure to link up each week.

1). How I did on last week's goals.

1). Start and complete my newest novel BLANK SPACE, a YA contemporary - With vacation and the Holiday weekend I didn't get as much writing done but I did go back and edit the words I've already written.
2). Read at least one book a week - Get Even by Gretchen McNeil. This book was SO good. I'm not sure why more people aren't reading this series.

3). Finish Harry Potter book 4 and 5 by end of RSW - I have made a plan! Going to work on 1-2 chapters a night.

4). Continue with 21 Day Fix and work on becoming a Beach Body Coach - On point. New challenge group started today.

5). Keep up with my 25 before 35 - Slow going.

6). Get kiddo ready for soccer season - Try outs this Saturday. We're going to work on drills nightly.
2). My goal(s) for this week

Write 30 minutes a day. Read one-two books.

3). A favorite line from my story OR one word/phrase that sums up what I wrote/revised
Friendship
4). The biggest challenge I faced this week (ex. finding time to write).
Vacation and vacation recovery.

5). Something I love about my WiP.
Discovering my characters.

Vacations are always a huge set-back for just about everything! Hope you can get back on track so I can read more :)

Good job on getting some edits done, especially while on vacation! I'm totally useless writing-wise when I'm on vacation. Getting back into things is always hard after being away. Hope you have a productive week, Mandie!

It's so tough to get writing done with the nice summer weather and vacation-y things to do. Getting some editing done is a big accomplishment though. Good luck on your goals next week! :)
