Grr! I had this post scheduled and then when I tried to get it to post my phone deleted it!
Anyway! So for the third mini challenge Katelyn wanted us to talk about our book blogging experience so far.
Well...mine has been very minimal. I've been lucky enough to participate in two different blog tours (for the same author but different books). The first was a guest post and the second an interview. Both were fun and a great learning experience. And while I talk about books on twitter and update my goodreads list like there's no tomorrow, I haven't really done a lot of reviews. Okay...I've done one. I reviewed Jellicoe Road (see review here) for Ashley's (Books from Bleh to Basically Amazing) Just Contemporary month back in November. And I tried to write a few more reviews for other contemporary books but I just can't seem to get them right on paper. But I haven't given up.
Another thing I've enjoyed is doing Ginger's (GReads Books) weekly Tune in Tuesday and TGIF posts. I think I want to do one more weekly posts. Something simple and easy, that's even more book related. What are some of your favorites?
I like WoW, (Waiting on Wednesday) where you spotlight what books you're really excited for! :D
ReplyDeleteFaye
I am doing only one Weekly Post that is In my mailbox but thought about adding one more soon.. but can't decide yet which one to take. I have such a hard time with reviews myself I so understand what you are talking about!
ReplyDeleteI also like In My Mailbox because I get so many book suggestions to add to my TBR pile when I read/watch those posts (although this may not be good b/c my TBR is ginormous...) Anyways, I wouldn't worry about getting your reviews being perfect,I know mine could always be better. Happy love-a-thon!!

ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about Wow! Seems nice and easy and fun. I don't get a ton of new books, so I wouldn't have a lot of IMM. It would be montly maybe. Thanks for the ideas!
ReplyDeleteYour blog makes me so happy even if it is Tune In Tuesday and TGIF posts! It is through those posts that I got to know who better. I see a lot of people doing Waiting On Wednesday posts and have always wanted to join in!
ReplyDeleteI like weekly memes like TGIF too. I didn't really know about them when I first started blogging. Now I've participated in lots of them (In My Mailbox, Waiting on Wednesday, etc.).
ReplyDeleteDon't worry that you don't do a lot of review posts. You can blog about other book related things too! =)
Doing weekly memes is always a great way to connect with the rest of the community! It's still really great of you to post consistently for those :)
